Moggill Creek July 2011

15 Jul

cane topples from the creek bank
golden sunset

paddling west
one sun sets
then another

tide throbs
up the creek
wagtails are watchful

gossamer flighted seed
sets on the creek
mist rises

When you write words such as
    “paddling west
    one sun sets
    then another”

really shines on your work. Great poem.

I agree. I’ve just found this one. The image of one sun setting (in the water of the creek I presume) and then another is witty and precise.
