page seventeen – issue 10

Proud to say that I have been published again in page seventeen, twice this time.  Firstly in Short Poetry, with my friends Tamara Lazaroff and Andrew Phillips:

butcher bird
the ploughman
turns each row

and also on pages 175-6, “One Day, One Year After the Flood”

weeding the path
the poinciana buzzes
in the still dawn

finches trill
cut stone fruit
for breakfast

sudden rain
still weaving
the silver web

Summer rain
Moggill Creek no
tidal gully now

year-old plants
lying down

the tide turns to rush
down the creek
by force of nature
I turn the kayak
for home

wagtail dances
sun sets twice as
I paddle west

Yet more friends are published in the same edition.  Cindy Keong on is on page 110, and her photo is on the cover.  Graham Nunn and Vanessa Page
