summer ginko Feb 2013

11 Feb

the stream flows
the insect drinks

all ants are
solitary – silent
summer Ginko

between the bark of trees
and the bark of my dog

fallen branches
under the black wing
the raven hunts

canopy song
lichen clings to corky bark

dry sclerophyll forest
I can see through you to
more of you

rainforest robins are
yellow – flowers
my mother can see

blonde girl
bridge of pale wood
over gravel

trunk and branch or
forked trunk?
branch, or fork, or branch?

sunlight and cicadas
grass blossoms under
raven wings

grass nods
how long
the nails in this bench

hovering or hanging
get out of my sight
